On August 14, 2023 I left home on an overnight business trip to Shreveport. Along the way I stopped at Marshall briefly to photograph an eastbound UP train heading towards Longview at 3:00 pm.
The next day, August 15th, as I headed back home I let Amtrak 21 catch up to me as it passed through Gladewater between Longview and Big Sandy. I composed this scene passing the antique shop area and oil derrick.
I did not have anything with me capable of knocking down that one dead branch!
