The next morning of October 10th I was down at the old T&P freight house where I nabbed a prime parking spot by the entrance to the Big Boy display area. I checked in with the UP police and took a few pre-dawn photos lit by the light plants.
The sun rose over the train at 7:52 am.
Here we see the old T&P freight house behind the display area.
Later that afternoon after the public display is done, we do a crew and employee photo with the drone.
A few minutes later an eastbound freight pulled into the scene and stopped well short of Tower 55.
I flew in close for this train and skyline picture.
Before long a second eastbound pulled up and stopped to wait for permission to proceed.
I was tired out after the all the crowd photos and headed home to rest up before doing this again tomorrow.
