Interesting Light on the Kansas Prairie Grasslands

As the moon was setting before dawn on January 18th on the prairie grasslands north of Cassoday, KS, I spotted this interesting composition with two jet contrails crossing each other at 6:21 am.

Not long before sunset that same day a westbound BNSF cement train was passing through the Flint Hills south of Matfield Green.

As I was driving back towards El Dorado for the night, I pulled over north of Cassoday for this view of the setting sun.

A bit further down the road this corral provided a nice prop.

I thought I was done at this point, but a few miles out of El Dorado I quickly pulled over to the shoulder for this final view of the day across El Dorado Lake.

Now for sure it was time to find something to eat and then pack for my drive home the next morning.
