The previous post illustrated a ZAILC train on August 9th with three NS and one UP unit for power. On August 25th not only was the train pulled by three NS units, one of them was the NS’s Nickel Plate Road heritage locomotive. Even though it was a trailing unit since the sun was out I decided to go after it. As I was dealing with a westbound train coming out of the easterly morning sun, I used by “go to” spot at Iona where the tracks curve to the northwest.
At 10:56 am I put my decision to the test, and I believe I succeeded.
Once again, one and done!
