On Wednesday, March 23rd I was able to accomplish what I had hoped to do on the previous Saturday. With help from Trinity Metro’s management I was able to be back in position at Fort Worth Central Station at 8:26 am to catch one of the two rebuilt ex-Amtrak F40’s leading a revenue train solo without a net in the form of a second unit. Trinity Metro posted a cropped version of this photo to their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts yesterday, so check it out! Since the photo has now been released, it is acceptable for me to post the full frame version of engine 131 pulling a coach and a cab car with the Fort Worth skyline in the background.
F40 number 130 should be out by itself soon and I will give it the same treatment! I look forward to catching them in many other locations.
