On Saturday September 11th the UP ran one of their engineering specials south through Fort Worth. I decided to try for another skyline shot with the drone. I was in position by 11:30 am, but then at 11:56 am the train stopped north of Tower 55 just short of my desired skyline photo angle.
For reasons not apparent to me the train sat there until 12:36 pm when they started to move. This may have worked to my advantage as the train was moving slowly as it passed my aerial camera. The flag car provided the appropriate message for this date of forever infamy.
I miss the days when these trains were usually pulled by the UP DDA40X number 6936.
