After rain and clouds on Tuesday May 25th, Wednesday the 26th dawned with a clear blue sky. I had intel that the Norfolk Southern’s Monongahela heritage unit was trailing on a northbound UP train coming up from Waco into Fort Worth. My wife and I were out running errands, and after only a ten minute wait we managed to catch it just south of the ex-MKT Ney Yard. I took this sequence as the head end rolled by.

I am not sure why, but Norfolk Southern wanted to make sure we know this is an ES44AC by GE, now Wabtec/GE.
