I promised more frequent updates, and here is the proof in addition to the Tower 55 Project post two days ago. On the way home from work tonight as I pulled onto the Bryant Irvin overpass at the west end of Davidson Yard, I looked down and saw a westbound stack train leaving the south bypass. The attention grabbing aspect of this chance meeting was that all four units up front were CSX.
It has been several years since I last caught a pure CSX lashup with this many units here in Texas. I quickly looped down onto Rosedale heading west, thankful the speed out of the bypasses was a maximum of 30mph. Traffic was still fairly heavy at 5:30pm, but I managed to catch both traffic lights green on the way to the Benbrook Boulevard crossing near Boaz Park. I parked and had a minute to get into position before this shot filed by viewfinder.
The dispatcher called the CSX 7326 West and the train answered as the IMNLB. With the first catch in the camera, what is scheduled to be a four-day weekend is off to a good start!

29 Aug 2014I only now noticed that the unit on point is a former Conrail unit.
