Tuesday May 31st was generally overcast with rain in the morning and severe thunderstorms in the late afternoon. I was able to complete my photo assignment for my client successfully, and with greatly diminished winds before the thunderstorms arrived, I was able to launch the drone successfully for this view of a westbound “Z” train between Matfield Green and Cassoday.
Shortly after landing I happened across this railfan who doubles as a drone.
After the first round of storms passed by me, I caught a brief rainbow.
My truck was covered in mud when I left the Cassoday area, but it rained so hard on the way back to El Dorado that it was car wash clean by the time I pulled up at the Holiday Inn Express.
